Eon - Greg Bear
Eon by Greg Bear
rating: 3 of 5 stars
Familiar concept. I feel that I've read a similar book. A asteroid appears in Earth's orbit. Strangely, there is a world inside, includeing The Way. An infinate corridor to...who knows. Interesting Sci-fi.

The House at Riverton - Kate Morton
The House at Riverton by Kate Morton
rating: 4 of 5 stars
Book Group Selection. Reminiscent of the movie Titanic except it was done well. Aged woman looking back on her life as a maid to a wealthy family in the early part of the 20th century. Mystery, love story, historical novel all wrapped up into one.

Grand Floral Walk
Pat and I decided to take part in the Grand Floral Walk last Saturday. It is a 4 mile event that takes place immediately preceding the Grand Floral Parade during the Rose Festival.
The day started out rainy, but turned out to be a nice cool day for a walk. All in all, the 4 mile walk was closer to 9 miles with all the walked pre and post walk. There were some fun costumes along the way, too.
