The Human Stain - Philip Roth

Chosen by Farzaneh for book group, this is another great book by Philip Roth. A tenured professor is asked to step down because he allegedly uttered a racial slur. Unfortunately, it was untrue. The book describes how his life falls apart after he leaves his job. It is very reminiscent of the other two Philip Roth books I've read; American Pastoral and Everyman. He seems to enjoy writing about men who come to the end of their life and find that life doesn't turn out as well as expected. A bit depressing.
